Updated: Jun 14, 2020

Pinot Grigio Livio Felluga Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC

The Pinot Grigio Livio Felluga is a wine made with the best Pinot Grigio grapes of the estate, which are hand-harvested around the first ten days of September, brought to the winery and de-stemmed. The de-stemmed part is briefly cold macerated in order to extract the aromas from the skins of the Pinot Grigio and afterwards everything is soft-pressed. The musts are then clarified through settling and then the alcoholic fermentation can be carried out by adding selected yeasts, that takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. At the end of this process the wine stays in contact with the yeasts for about 6 months during which batonnage is carried out regularly, that gives body and fatness to the product. Once bottled, the wine rests in the cellar to refine for 2 months before being released.
